Versatile Treatment for the Body and Mind.
Massage Therapy is a Regulated Health Profession that is used to treat a variety of acute and chronic health conditions. It can be used as a preventative treatment for sports training programs, to relieve stress, and help support your body's muscular, neurological and circulatory systems.
Some examples of conditions that can be treated are:
- - Arthritis
- - Sprains
- - Strains
- - Whiplash
- - TMJ dysfunction
- - Stress
- - Repetitive strain injuries
- - Postural strain
- - Headaches
- - Motor Vehicle Accident injuries
- - Sports Injuries
- - Pre- and post-surgery injuries
- - Pain
- - Range of motion restrictions
- - Edema
After reviewing your health history with you and receiving your consent, your therapist will work within your pain tolerance levels to reduce pain, improve ranges of motion and optimize your health. This will be accomplished using a combination of hands-on techniques, education and self-care exercises. If at any point during your treatment you are feeling uncomfortable, inform your therapist and treatments can be adjusted or stopped.
Many insurance policies cover massage therapy, but some require doctor's prescriptions. Please refer to your policy to see if one is needed. Direct billing is offered at this clinic.
